A lot of guessing and crossing fingers went into this one. On this project, I previz'd all the cut pieces of ply wood first in cinema 4d and I was lead compositor. A little R&D went into building the animation in c4d in a way where when we were done, we could extract each shape for each frame to be laser cut into ply wood. A lot of illustrator files were generated from c4d for each animated 'hill' that we then had to layout in prep for the laser cutter... to put this shorter... A LOT OF TIME put into prepping before stop motion. - produced at buck
